Features
Everything you need for solo learning, family game nights, and classroom competitions. No multiple choice. No repetitive questions. Just pure timeline trivia.
Not Your Typical Trivia Game
Tired of picking A, B, C, or D? Sorting History uses a timeline mechanic where you place historical events in chronological order. It's more engaging, more challenging, and you actually learn something.
Each round shows you a timeline and asks you to place a new event. Get it right, and your timeline grows. Get it wrong, and you learn the correct placement. Either way, you walk away knowing more than when you started.
Two ways to place
Tap to Place: Scroll the timeline, tap an arrow to choose your position, then tap Place Here. Default on iPhone.
Drag and Drop: Long-press the event card — it lifts with haptic feedback — then drag it into the gap on the timeline and release. Default on iPad. Switch anytime in Settings → Placement Method.

A New Challenge Every Day
The Daily Challenge gives you a fresh 5-event sorting puzzle every day. The game picks a surprise category, and you have to sort the events in order. It takes under 2 minutes, and every player gets the same challenge — so you can compare with friends.
Available to all players, including free accounts. A new reason to open the app every single day.
Three Ways to Play
Solo Adventure
Challenge yourself. Progress through historical events and earn ranks on two paths — the Historian Path for deep expertise in any category, the Scholar Path for breadth across all of history. Perfect for learning at your own pace or competing against your personal best.
The Mastery Dashboard shows exactly what you need for your next rank: games played, accuracy target, categories to explore. When you cap a category at Professor, it points you to the Epic expansion so you can keep climbing toward Expert and beyond.
Works offline, so you can play on planes, trains, or anywhere without WiFi.
Pass & Play
Family game night on one device. Teams take turns sorting events. Perfect for road trips, waiting rooms, or any time you want to see who knows history best.
Supports 2-6 players split into teams, with customizable team names.
Network Play
No more passing the phone. Connect two devices over local WiFi and compete head-to-head. Each player uses their own device, with synchronized scoring and turn order.
Great for classrooms and family game night. Available to all players, including free accounts.
You Control the Challenge
Most trivia apps have one difficulty: frustrating. We give you three scoring modes so everyone from beginners to history buffs can enjoy the game.
Friendly Mode
No penalties. +1 for correct, 0 for wrong. Perfect for learning, kids, or anyone who wants to enjoy history without pressure.
Competitive Mode
Balanced challenge. +2 for correct, -1 for wrong. Rewards knowledge while keeping mistakes recoverable.
Expert Mode
For serious history buffs. +3 for correct, -2 for wrong. High stakes, high rewards. Prove you really know your stuff.
Quick Games or Deep Dives
Got 5 minutes or 30? Choose your game length:

- Normal: 10 rounds (8-12 minutes)
- Marathon: 15 rounds (15-20 minutes)
- Ultra Marathon: 20 rounds (20-25 minutes)
- Epic: 30 rounds (30-40 minutes)
Accuracy You Can Count On
We take historical accuracy seriously. Every event is verified before it goes into the game, and we're constantly reviewing and updating our content.
Found a mistake? Shake your device to report it. We review every report and fix verified errors for everyone — usually within 48 hours. Your feedback makes the game better for all players.
